I've been tussling with some of the technical aspects of this blog. As a matter of fact, I've felt as though I've been in a boxing ring. And no, I wasn't the victor.
I mentioned this issue (well, "complained" would probably be more accurate) to my boyfriend.
" Perfect!" he said. "You''ll be ready for Passover!"
"Really? How so?"
"I don't want to give away the story, but the Passover is meant to make us feel as the Jews must have felt. We eat unleavened bread, we dip greens in salt water, we eat charoset to remind us of the mortar that the Jews used to build the pyramids. And the computer mouse: that reminds us of how difficult it was to connect with Pharaoh until we got his email address. "
"Hmm. Which was?"
"I think it was P. Aroah dot com."
"How do you spell it?"
"
[email protected]. Okay, so as I said, I don't want to give away the ending. But you'll see tonight at the Seder that the way you feel now is similar to the way the ancient Hebrews did. And the story of liberation will mean that much more to you."
It's very comforting to know that sometimes technology suffering can be put into a much larger context.
